And before I could count my cash the women "helping" me said in an annoyed tone "you don't have cash?" As it turns out I did have cash and paid and left. You're made to feel you're an inconvenience to them almost entirely throughout the process. After showing my ID for the fourth time, I tried paying with an AMEX (which I didn't know wasn't allowed - debit or cash only). Again, poor customer service with very curt/annoyed attitude where you again show your ID.Then you wait in the actual dispensary until your name is called. Next you go into a waiting hallway until the light on the door turns green and you go into a secondary check point. Poor customer service - you are not treated like human. Then you go in and show your ID again to someone behind a desk. Security guard looks at your ID and wands you down - this is expected and the security guard was great (and the only positive interaction I had here). There are 4 separate employee interactions in the process. I went to the dispensary the morning after ordering online and receiving a time window. I hope MOCA can continue to improve in the future. They also recently joined the Last Prisoner project. The main area is so messy, it could definitely be better utilized like Sunnyside River North, in my opinion. If that makes you uncomfortable, heads up. I was one of two customers wearing a mask, and only a few staff members were wearing mask. They no longer are mandating Covid-19 guidelines like social distancing or mask. I was in and out in under 10 mins because I pre-ordered online. Now everyone enters on the Milwaukee Ave entrance and is divided into medical and recreational at the door. I'm not a medical patient as of writing this review but I believe the Fullerton door is exit only it was previously where medical patients could enter. The entry process and security has been streamlined but the maze with cannabis art is still in effect, which I know a lot of people disliked. I'm only giving 4 stars because the variety of stock is better than other dispos in Chicago. This was my first time visiting since the Ascend focused rebranding. There was a line before the doors opened. I shouldn't have to pay more because you don't want to give out change.I'm in the process of figuring out what dispensary I am going to change to- and if you're a medical patient, you probably should to. They now round up or down on your total because they don't want to give you change- which is understandable- except rounding UP is not legal. Every time I'm there people that came in after me get their order before me.I have complained on numerous occasions about this, and I'm always told my concerns will be addressed by management (as I wanted to try and get this fixed before leaving a bad review)- but then I come for my next visit and experience the same thing. The final straw for me was a visit I had yesterday. In addition, the way they call people up to get their order makes no sense. There are two separate entrances- and the rec side ALWAYS moves faster. You will have to wait in line to get inside, then wait again when you are actually inside to be called to get your product. First off, even with a scheduled pick up time, anticipate waiting at least 30 minutes to get your order. At first, I really loved it as they by far have the largest selection out of all dispensaries in the city. However, the changes they have made recently definitely prioritize recreational customers. I am a medical patient, and started using Moca several months ago. I always have to give myself a pep talk before coming to Moca, as I know the experience is going to take awhile and something will go wrong.
